Megastar Chiranjeevi's New Year Continues On A High!

After a long time, Megastar Chiranjeevi managed to score a really good hit with Waltair Veerayya. The film was released on January 13th, for Sankranthi this year. The film ahs been directed by Bobby Kolli, and features Shruti Haasan as the leading lady. Ravi Teja played a key role in this film, for which Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.

Waltair Veerayya showcased Chiru in his vintage glory, which turned out to be a major advantage for the film. With the grand success of the film, Chiru has had a wonderful beginning to the new year. He is now continuing that beginning by joining the shoot of Bhola Shankar. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh, and is a remake of the Tamil film Vedhalam. Keerthy Suresh will be seen as Chiru's sister in this film, in which Tamannaah Bhatia is the leading lady. The new schedule of the film began today at Hyderabad's Peddamma Talli temple. There are decent expectations on the film, but since the film is a remake, there are equal skepticisms about it. Chiru's last film, Godfather, was a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer. While the film was made well, and even received a good response, it was largely ignored by the audience as it was a remake. Thus, it failed to bring in good collections. Considering that fact, it is to be seen to what extent the audience will accept Bhola Shankar. Moreover, there's a negative sentiment associated with Meher Ramesh. Thus, it is to be seen how the film will turn out in the end.
