Chiranjeevi is doing back-to-back films and is in no mood to slow down these days. It is a known fact that Chiranjeevi is doing the remake of Vedhalam, the super hit Tamil film of Thala Ajith. The film is being directed by Meher Ramesh who has not directed a proper feature film for over five years now.
The shooting is in full swing. Speaking in an interview, Meher Ramesh revealed that 40% of the film shoot has been completed and the film will be due for release during Summer 2023 on April 14, 2023. But when asked whether he made proper changes to the remake, Ramesh says that Bholaa Shankar is not a scene-to-scene remake of the Ajith film and so much has been changed storywise.
He also added that the emotional angle in the Tamil film was more rooted and here in Telugu, they have made it a bit urban and which also suits the sensibilities of the Telugu-speaking audience. The film is a serious family drama and will have space for solid characters and that is the reason the makers roped in Keerthy Suresh as the sister of Chiranjeevi.
Thaman is the music director for the film which stars Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Tulasi, Pragati, Bittiri Satti, Satya, Uttej, Prabhas Seenu in key roles. The makers are planning to release a feeler in December this year.
