Mohan Babu sentenced to one year jail

After a series of shocks from the state government, Actor, producer and now the member of YSRCP, Mohan Babu has been struck with another major jolt from the Erramanzil Court. The veteran actor has been sentenced to one year jail by Hyderabad Erramanzil 23 metropolitan special magistrate Court.

Apart from the sentence, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 41.75 Lakhs on the Collection King. This is regarding the cheque bounce case filed by filmmaker YVS Chowdary in 2010 who directed the movie ‘Saleem’, starring Mohan Babu's son Manchu Vishnu. As per the report filed, Mohan Babu handed over a cheque of Rs 48 Lakh to YVS as remuneration which was later bounced. Upon which the director approached the court and has won the case after 8 years of fight.

However, Mohan Babu reacted on this saying that the director deliberately deposited the cheque when we asked him not to. ‘YVS Chowdary has done this on purpose. It is evident that he has misled the court with fake evidence. We will challenge this verdict in the sessions court,” said Mohan Babu
