The motion poster prepared by the makers of the movie 'Vellarikkapattanam' has been released. The motion poster was released in honor of Mammootty's birthday. The film stars Manju Warrier and Saubin Shahir in the lead role. The released motion poster includes scenes from Mammootty's movies.

 
The motion poster features scenes from ‘Oru Vadakkan Veera Gadha’, Vidheyan, Amaram, and Rajamanikyam. When Manju Warrier arrives as Chandu, Patel, Achutty, and Bellary Raja, Saubin comes in the poster as Aromalunni, Tommy, Raghavan, and Chamiyar. There is also a dialogue from the movie Praise the Load as the suspense of the film is hidden at the end. Mammootty's voice dialogues are used in the background of the motion poster.
 
Director Mahesh Vettiyar says that the motion poster was their tribute to Mammootty. Mammootty is one of the greatest contributions of Kerala to world cinema. “His birthday, which marks his half-century in acting, is special. It was born out of the idea of ​​how to bring respect to Mammootty to the audience”- says Mahesh Vettiar, the director of' Vellarikkapattanam '.
 
He added that “It is impossible to choose only from four of Mammootty's films. However, we were able to use only four of them, which were very popular with the audience and in line with the concept of our film. The concept of dual was the norm”, said Mahesh.
 
Filming of 'Vellarikapattanam', which was delayed due to Covid restrictions, will start soon. Produced by Full On Studios, the film is co-written by journalist Sarath Krishna. Gautam Shankar is the cinematographer. Editing by Appu Bhattathiri and Arjun Benn. The lyricists are Madhuvasudevan and Vinayak Sasikumar. Sachin Shankar Mannath, who works with AR Rahman, composes the music for Vellarikkappattanam.
