While we've heard of so many Bollywood films which take cues from international films and remake them in our regional languages, there also exists a whole set of famous Hollywood movies that have taken inspiration from Bollywood. These Hollywood films were released much later than the release time of the Bollywood ones. Have a look at these films as follows:
Leap Year
This 2010 film starring Mathew Goode and Amy Adams takes inspiration from the Bollywood film Jab We Met. While the makers refuted all these claims, why don't you watch this film and decide for yourself? Jab We Met came three years before Leap Year and is a cute romantic comedy movie starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton is a 2004 romantic comedy film that stars Josh Duhamel and Kate Bosworth in the lead roles. The movie takes inspiration from the 1995 Bollywood film called Rangeela. Rangeela is a famous Bollywood movie starring Urmila Matondkar, Aamir Khan and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles. The basic plot of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton is very similar to Rangeela.
Fear
This 1994 Hollywood film stars Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon in the lead roles. It is a thriller movie inspired by the famous Bollywood film Darr. Darr was released a year ago and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol in the lead roles.
Delivery Man
Remember the debut movie of Ayushmann Khurana Vicky Donor? The movie broke all stereotypes relating to sperm donation and this is why it inspired the international filmmaker to make it in English. Delivery Man stars Vince Vaughn, Chriss Pratt and Cobie Smulders in the lead roles.
A Common Man
This 2013 Hollywood film is a remake of the 2008 Bollywood film A Wednesday. A common man stars actors like Ben Kingsley, Ben Cross, and others.
