After the advent of OTT platforms, many top filmmakers and actors are trying out their luck in the digital arena. Already, the likes of Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siqquie and Rajkumar Rao have entered the OTT world. Now, we hear that superstar Aamir Khan is also planning to debut into the digital world with a web series.
If the latest grapevine from the B-Town is anything to go by, Aamir's team of writers have written and conceptualized a series. They have recently pitched it to an OTT giant and the latter also showed interest in bankrolling the project. If everything falls in place, this series will go on floors this year itself. This will be a human-interest drama, which confirms the sources. Aamir has earlier entered into the Television arena with the popular show Satyamev Jayate. Now, he is planning to enter the digital arena with this series.
On the career front, Aamir is currently acting in the film Laal Singh Chaddha. This is an official adaptation of the 1994 English film Forrest Gump. Kareena Kapoor is playing the female lead in it. Already, the first look posters of Aamir and Kareena were out and received a positive response from the audience. Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the screens on this Christmas.
