Veteran actress Jayachithra's son Amresh rose to prominence with Raghava Lawrence's Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva. He has scored music for films such as Naane Ennul Illai, Bhaskar Oru Rascal, Charlie Chaplin 2, Pottu and Sathru to name a few. Jayachithra is one of the popular faces in the Tamil cinema and has acted aside celebrities such as Jaishankar, Muthuraman, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. Recently, Amresh was arrested for scamming a man who lost Rs 26.2 crore. According to reports, Amreadh and his associates became friends with Nedumaran, who is a popular face in the industry since 2013.
Nedumaran has filed a complaint against Amresh saying that he and his friends promised to sell a temple kalasam made of pure Iridium and made him pay a whopping Rs 26.2 crore. Reportedly, Amresh forged documents stating that the Iridium was tested and certified by a Canadian organisation. However, there have been discrepancies in the purchase. Following his complaint, Amresh and his associates have been arrested and upon investigation, they had agreed to the scam. Amresh's arrest came as a huge shock to the people in the industry.
