The achievements of Dulquer Salmaan in his 10 years since entering the cinema are enticing for any young actor. It is the result of his personal hard work and effort outside the label of a star kid. He is currently off to some of the best starts of his career. Four of Dulquer's films released this year were in different languages. While the Telugu film Sita Ramam was a huge success, the Bollywood starrer Chhup continues to run in theatres with good reviews. Dulquer's remuneration is also increasing as a South Indian actor who is winning films in various languages. The Times of India recently reported that Dulquer currently charges between Rs 3 crore and Rs 8 crore per film, depending on the size of the industry. Dulquer recently revealed how much he was paid for his first act in front of the camera.

 
Dulquer spoke about this experience in an interview given to the YouTube channel Curly Tales. Dulquer acted in an advertisement long before entering the cinema. It was ten years ago. Dulquer acted in an ad directed by Rajeev Menon, who is also a film director. Dulquer says that the opportunity did not come because he was Mammootty's son, but came by chance. “Rajiv Menon's advertising agency came to my school one day and watched the children watch the new advertisement. I was taking part in their election. I got Rs 2000 that day," said Dulquer.
 
Meanwhile, Dulquer has a number of films gearing up for release. He has announced the new film King of Kotha in Malayalam. He also has a Hindi web series coming up titled Guns & Gulaabs. He plays an important role alongside Raj Kumar Rao in the Netflix web series.
