Nag Ashwin to direct Ram Charan after his film with Prabhas

Nag Ashwin is already directing Prabhas in an untitled film. Rumour has it that the director might be looking to cast Ram Charan and Janhavi Kapoor in the sequel to the 1990 film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. However, an official announcement is yet to arrive.
It was already announced that producer Ashwini Dutt is planning to bankroll the sequel to the film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. The 1990 film starred actors Sridevi and Chiranjeevi in the lead roles. Directed by Raghavendra Rao and produced by Ashwini Dutt himself, Veerudu Athiloka Sundar was a super hit film. Looks like a sequel is in the makes. Nag Ashwin, Ashwini Dutt's son-in-law has been roped in to direct the sequel.
If the rumours are true, the makers are essentially casting Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan in the sequel. It might make sense to cast Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor too. However, we will have to wait and see if Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor agree to appear in the sequel or not.
Meanwhile, Nag Ashwin is working on an untitled film with Prabhas. The film is a science fiction film. It might hit the theatres in the summer of 2020. Ram Charan, on the other hand, is looking forward to the release of the mega-budget film RRR directed by SS Rajamouli. It seems like 2020 might be a bust year for Janhvi Kapoor. She is looking forward to appearing in three films - Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi Afzana, and Dostana 2.
