Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. Naga Chaitanya will be seen as Bala in the film, which is slated to hit the theatres on August 11. In an interview with IndiaToday, Naga Chaitanya revealed that Aamir Khan spoke to him over a video call and offered him the film.
Naga Chaitanya said, "I got a video call from Aamir sir and he casually chatted with me. After that, I heard the script from Advait [Chandan]. One week later, I flew to Bombay [Mumbai] and met Aamir sir. We spoke about the film, a few scenes, and other things. I had to pinch myself a few times to actually believe that I was part of the film. It fell into place organically."
Naga Chaitanya was all praise for Aamir Khan. While speaking about him, he said, "How warm Aamir sir was during the first meeting itself. No one would imagine that he’d put you at ease in the first meeting. He has the energy that doesn’t make you feel like you are sitting next to Aamir Khan. You feel like you are sitting next to a friend. He puts out that energy in a room. It was beautiful."
