Soggade Chinni Nayana is one of the special films in King Nagarjuna's career. It revived the comic timing in the actor and remained as one of the biggest hits in this career. Directed by Kalyana Krishna, this film had Lavanya Tripathi and Ramya Krishna as the female leads. Now, a spinoff is being made on this film called Bangarraju.
In fact, Bangarraju was actually supposed to go on floors in early 2019 and release during Sankranthi this year. But due to the multiple changes in the script and the sudden demise of Kalyana Krishna's family member delayed the shoot. According to the sources, now the entire script got locked and it is all set to go on floors.
We hear that the makers are planning to launch Bangarraju on the auspicious day of Ugadi. More official details on this film will be out very soon. Nagarjuna will be bankrolling the film himself under his home banner Annapurna Studios. Apparently, Naga Chaitanya is also playing an important role in this movie. Currently, Nagarjuna is busy shooting for his next film Wild Dog, which is being helmed by Ahishir Solomon. Dia Mirza and Sayami Kher are playing the female leads in this movie.
