Nani is currently awaiting the release of his next film V. This movie was originally slated for the release on March 25. But the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown have ruined all the plans. Since then, there were many speculations about the film's direct digital release. But the makers kept on saying that they will release the movie only in theaters. The latest we hear is that the producers have finally decided to release the film directly on a digital platform. Apparently, Amazon Prime Video bought the rights of this film for a whopping amount of Rs. 33 crores. It seems that V will premiere on September 5, on Teacher's day.
There are no chances of opening the theaters anytime soon. Meanwhile, the financial burden is increasing on producer
Dil Raju as the film is lying under the cans. Thus, he decided to sell it to Prime Video for such a huge price. In general, Nani's market value is around Rs. 30 crores. Considering that fact, V got a good deal for the direct digital release. Hence, Dil Raju thought it will be the best option to opt for a direct online release.
