Tamil Radio Jockey-turned-actor RJ Balaji has now donned the avatar of a director to make the film Mookuthi Amman. This film features Nayanthara as the lead. Even Balaji has played a significant role in the movie. Mookuthi Amman went on floors in November last year and successfully wrapped up its shoot the other day.
RJ Balaji himself has announced the news by saying that the shoot of the film got wrapped up and the goddess will arrive in theatres this summer. Touted to be a modern take on the devotional films, Mookuthi Amman features Nayanthara as a goddess. Most of the film's shoot happened in various temple cities of Tamil Nadu, especially in the Kanyakumari region. Nayanthara has become a vegetarian throughout the shooting period of this film and has also visited various temples across the state.
Balaji also added that Nayanthara's first look from the film is coming up soon. Fans of Lady Superstar are quite excited to see their favorite actress as a goddess. Girish has composed the music for this film while Dinesh Krishnan has handled the cinematography. RJ Balaji himself has penned the script of this film.
