Nayanthara spoke candidly about parenthood and marriage while promoting her movie Connect. She claimed that things had improved and cited her spouse and twin boys as her primary sources of encouragement. The next horror thriller Connect, starring Nayanthara, a.k.a. Lady Superstar, is getting ready for release.
Nayanthara talked about her marriage and the transition into motherhood after welcoming twin boys recently. She thanked Vignesh Shivan, their infant boys, and their family for being her support system. The lady superstar said, "Why are there restrictions for women? I feel it's wrong. Why is it a topic that women can't work after marriage? Men go to the office the next day after weddings. Marriage is not an interval point. It makes you fulfilled and settled in life. When you feel that, you want to achieve more. I saw that mindset in all the women I have met so far. Nothing has changed for me. It is a beautiful beginning of a new phase of life. My life is only better because of my support system. I can achieve more, understand films better and do more. There should not be any rules. Marriage is beautiful. Why can't you celebrate it?"
On June 9, 2022, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara got married after dating for a while. The actor and director registered their marriage on March 11, 2016, six years before the birth of their twins via surrogacy in October 2022. The filmmaker welcomed their twin boys, Uyir and Ulagam, and shared the happy news.
Connect, directed by Ashwin Saravanan, also features Sathyaraj. Anupam Kher, Vinay Rai, and Haniya Nafis also appear in pivotal parts. Connect marks Anupam Kher's return to Tamil cinema. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's production company Rowdy Pictures finance the film.
The movie Connect will premiere on December 22, 2022. The movie's remarkable feature is that it runs for 99 minutes without an intermission.
