Streaming giant Netflix came up with its new original film Extraction a few days back. Directed by Sam Hargrave, this film featured Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. Indian actors Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi, and Manoj Bajpayee have also featured in this movie. Most of the film's story is set in India and Bangladesh. The film has received a huge response from the audiences. Especially, it got lauded for its phenomenal action sequences. Speaking in a recent interview, Hargrave said that they are planning to make a second part for this movie.
Hargrave said they had no plans of making any second part while writing the script. It came into the plan when the film was on the sets. He said that Netflix is currently considering the idea and will take a final call soon. Hargrave said that the second part will mostly be a prequel and not a sequel. As Chris Hemsworth and David Harbor's chemistry got a good response, they are planning to take them as the principle plot-drivers in the prequel.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who have bankrolled this film, also admitted that there are chances of the prequel. Joe said that when there is an interesting character in the film, one would like to explore it more. For those who are unaware, Joe and Anthony Russo are the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game. More details on the second part of the film will be out soon. Extraction also featured Rudraksh Jaiswal and Golshifteh Farahani in the other important roles.
