STR's last project Vanthaa Rajavathaan Varuven directed by Sundar.C produced by Lyca Productions was bombed at the box-office. This movie is a remake of Telugu All time Block Buster Attarintiki Daredi starred Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. Now he is all prepping for a political entertainer directed by Venkat Prabhu. Actor under rigorous training toning up his body to look more athletic.
As per the latest news, New heroine confirmed to star opposite STR. Kalyani Priyadarshan to pair up with STR in Maandu. She was introduced to films with Tollywood flick Hello starred opposite Akhil Akkineni directed by 24 fame Vikram Kumar. She is currently roped in to pair opposite Siva Karthikeyan's Hero movie directed by PS Mitran of Irumbu Thirai fame. Earlier there was news that Raashi Khanna will be playing female interest of STR in this political thriller.
Maanadu will be produced by Suresh Kamatchi, who already reported that this will be an intense political entertainer with hard-hitting movements which will give an ultimate kick to fans. Producer finally shuts the mouths of all the people who created speculations that this is shelved. He confirms that Maandu is pretty much on pre-production is going in a brisk pace, will kick off it's shooting very soon.
