News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) has found that the news channels at fault for airing slanderous reports against her in a drug case two months ago. The authority stated that news channels belonging to Zee Group, India Today, Aaj Tak, Times Now, and ABP News vilified her with baseless reports.
The same authority has said that Zee News and Zee Hindustan to offer her apologies for airing false reports against her in a drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. As per the order given by the authority, the channels will have to air an apology to Rakul on December 17, and all other channels are asked to remove videos from YouTube mentioning false reports about the actress in this case.
