Dream Warrior Pictures unleashed the theatrical trailer of the Suriya’s most-awaited movie NGK-Nandha Gopalan Kumaran today. Directed by Selvaraghavan, the teaser also starred Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. The teaser promises to be a political thriller which shows a common man named Nandha Gopalan Kumaran turning into a popular politician. The film is the story of a man named Nandha Gopalan Kumaran, popularly known as NGK. Throughout the teaser, we can see and hear his name being chanted by the masses as he emerges as a popular political figure.
NGK is Selvaraghavan's comeback project after 6 years with Irandaam Ulagam released in 2013. Other projects like Nenjam Marappathillai and Mannavan Vanthanadi are yet to release.
The film started its shooting in February 2018 and was expected to hit theatres on Deepavali last year. The health issues of Selvaraghavan delayed the project on which the director took to Twitter to address the fans in January as follows.
“My humble request. We work hard and we work in silence. Updates will come at the right time. Not every third day or every week. And I strongly believe that if you give us the strength we will work much harder towards our goal. #NGK.”
Due to the piracy issues the production house released the NGK's teaser at 10.30 AM this morning prior to the announce time. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual film’s release date is yet to be announced.
