For those who don’t already know, Nithiin’s upcoming outing, Maestro is premiering on Disney Hotstar on the 17th of this month. As the film gears up for its digital premieres, the makers have started proactively promoting the Nithiin starer.
Speaking at the pre-release event that was held the other day, Nithiin said remakes are always risky propositions. “It is always risky to do a remake as no matter how well you execute it, the viewers will always compare it to the original. We took the risk with Maestro and I am confident that we did a great job. The film shaped up well and I am confident that the Telugu OTT audience will lap it up,” he said.
Maestro is the Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster Andhadhun, a dark comedy that has Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. Meralapaka Gandhi directed the remake. Nabha Natesh, Tamannaah, and Naresh play the other lead roles in the remake. Nithiin plays a blind pianist in the film.
Recently, Merlapaka Gandhi said he made cosmetic changes to the script to suit the sensibilities of the native audiences. He revealed that the remake will have an extended romantic track and there will be more situational comedy when compared to that of the original.
