No Takers For The Tamil Version Of Godfather?

Godfather has become a decent hit at the box office. The success meet was held recently in Hyderabad and generally, a soft-spoken Chiranjeevi slammed the media who reported in many ways that there is no buzz for Godfather and the makers are not doing proper promotions before the release. But all this changed when the film won decent reviews and collections in Telugu.

But that is not the case when it comes to the Tamil version. The dubbed version of Tamil was released on the 14th of October in Chennai and a few other areas and the result has been shocking. The film occupancy was below 20% and the film was removed from several screens. Kantara directed by Rishab Shetty which has created a storm has been replaced in place of Godfather.

In Telugu too, the collections have fallen down and the film needs more than 20 crores to be in the safe zone. The occupancy in many areas of Telugu states has dropped by over 50% which is a warning sign for the makers. The film needs 90 crores in total to be in the safe zone but only half of it has recovered so far.

Mohan Raja directed this film which was the remake of Lucifer. As most of the Tamil people have watched the film earlier, Godfather did not get any money at the Tamil box office. Also, the makers did not put any effort into the promotions and released the film on a plain note. This has also hampered the box office situation of the film.
