Kasturi Shankar, a noted Tamil actress and lawyer is in the firing line now for questioning Rajinikanth’s recent medical visit to the United States of America. Her series of tweets on Rajini’s USA travel have sparked an outrage on the micro-blogging platform.
“US has banned direct travel from India for all Indian citizens from May onwards . No medical exceptions have been granted. How and why did @rajinikanth travel during this time? His sudden backing out of politics, now this... things are not adding up. Rajini Sir pl clarify. To Clarify : NRI's living working or studying in USA are permitted to return to USA , and Indians travelling from other countries are permitted to travel. So The Rajini travel issue is definitely a mystery,” Kasturi tweeted.
Rajinikanth’s fans were quick to react to Kasturi’s tweet. While a few came up with logical explanations, saying the US government permits arrivals in case of medical emergencies, a few others started calling her names. Following the customary online abuse, Kasturi wrote “Hold the outrage. Read and react on FB” and shared a link to her lengthy post on Facebook.
Incidentally, Rajinikanth and his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush were recently spotted outside the renowned Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA which is regarded as one of the top cardiac care medical facilities in the world.
