Operation Gold Fish - First film based on Article 370
Operation Gold Fish is a film directed by Sai Kiran Adivi, who is known for bringing unconventional films to theatres. His upcoming film will deal with the mass departure of Kashmiri pandits in the 90s due to militancy.
Further, this film will also give us an insight into Article 370 and Article 35A. Talking about the film to a daily, director Sai Kiran said, “The idea of OGF germinated from my real-life observations and it took me three years to develop the script. It's a first-of-its-kind story that is relevant to the times we live in. I met families of Kashmiri Pandits to make the story authentic. They have been fighting for their rights for years now. We made OGF with a hope to pave the way for the return of these people to their homeland. The film touches upon the issues faced by them after the genocide and exposes the sinister politics. It will not only evoke a feeling of patriotism but also keeps you invested in its love story."
He also added that the decision to revoke Article 370 is a welcome move by the government. He stated that this decision has brought joy to the people in the valley and also to the entire nation.
Operation Gold Fish stars Aadi Saikumar, Nooka Raju, Abburi Ravi and Rao Ramesh. Aadi plays a Kashmiri pandit who is also an NSG commando. The film is expected to hit the theatres in September.
