Oscars Roundup: Parasite movie wins big

The 92nd edition of the Academy Awards got concluded a while ago in Hollywood. This year has brought in quite a few surprises as a Korean film dominated all the major categories of the Oscars. Parasite, a South-Korean drama directed by Bong Jon-hoo won four awards out of six it got nominated it. It won Best Original Screenplay, Best Picture, Best Director and Best International Film. Parasite is the first non-English film to bag Best Picture Awards in the history of Oscars. It is also the only film to bag both Best Picture and Best International Film Awards.

On the flip side, Joaquin Pheonix won his maiden Oscar as the Best Actor for the film Joker. Renee Zellweger won the Best Actress award for her performance in the film Judy. Brad Pitt won Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Roger Deakins won Best Cinematography award for 1917. Hildur Guonadottir won Best Original Score Award for Joker. Films like Joker, 1917, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Ford Vs Ferrari also stood out by grabbing a couple of awards each at the Oscars.
