Both the Telugu states celebrate Ugadi festival today. But it is not the same way it used to be every year. Right now, the entire world is fighting against the coronavirus which is spreading like a wildfire. Thus, the governments have asked people to celebrate the festival at their homes and not come out unless it is an emergency. Popular actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan extended his wish to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He requested people to celebrate the festival confining ourselves at homes.
In an official statement, Pawan Kalyan wrote, "I extend Ugadi greetings to all Telugu brothers and sisters of not only in the Telugu States but also across the globe. Entire mankind is rattling with Coronavirus. The deadly virus is posing a threat to devastate the human race. Under these critical circumstances, the Sarvari Ugadi is set in and I wish on behalf of me and the Jana Sainiks the festival will do a favour to all the people and ensure complete life span. Let us celebrate the Ugadi festival confining ourselves in the homes. I request you all to celebrate the festival using the goods that are readily available in the house. The real Ugadi comes when the world relieved from Coronavirus. Let's follow the guidelines issued by the Government to drive out the deadly virus and fight it out unitedly."
Pawan is extending his support to all the initiatives that are being taken by both central and state governments in fighting the disease.
