Ponniyin Selvan To Have An OTT Release Soon !

The historical drama "Ponniyin Selvan 1," Mani Ratnam's magnum work, was released in theatres in September. It got off to a monster start at the box office. The OTT release date for "Ponniyin Selvan 1" is now reported. On Diwali day (Oct. 24), "Ponniyin Selvan 1" reached its 25th day in theatres. The cast and crew expressed their joy at the movie's success. When a theatrical release has ran for four weeks, it is permitted to make an OTT premiere. But, because "Ponniyin Selvan 1" is still performing well at the box office, the OTT release will be postponed. However, "Ponniyin Selvan 1" will begin streaming on the second week of November. As per reports, the streaming will most likely happen on November 11.

Chances to postpone the OTT release further for a week or two is also possible due to the popularity. We shall wait until the creators make an official announcement. It is important to note that the OTT rights for the two installments of "Ponniyin Selvan" were sold as a package for Rs 125 crores. Based on the novel by Kalki Krishnamoorthy, "Ponniyin Selvan 1" narrates the history of the Cholas. Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Sarath Kumar are among the cast members. Ravivarman is in charge of the cinematography. AR Rahman composed the music for the film. According to reports, "Ponniyin Selvan 1" has earned more than Rs 480 crores worldwide, and it will likely soon break the 500 crore threshold. In Tamil Nadu, the USA, and several other countries, the historical drama has already earned more money than any previous Tamil film.
