Ed Sheeran who is well known for popular hits such as Photograph and the Shape of You is also known to stay away from the spotlight as often as he can. However, it seems it is not just limited to that. Instead, Ed Sheeran gave up on his mobile phone back in 2015 to save himself from all social media. Sheeran wanted to see the world at this time.
In a recent episode of Britain's Britain's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Roman Kemp a friend of Ed talked about this. Kemp said that we can contact Sheeran only through email and doesn't have any other means of contact.
A few years ago in 2017, Sheeran also said that, "I bought an iPad, and then I just work off of e-mail, and it's so much less stress. I don't wake up in the morning and have to answer 50 messages of people asking for stuff. It's just like, I wake up and have a cup of tea."
The singer has seen talking about his anxiety before this too. In an episode with the Ellen DeGeneres show, he said, "It creeps up on you. I've been working on it for eight years and I closed off from reality. Whether it's getting rid of your phone or only looking at emails twice a day. Or cutting down my friendship group to the bare minimum just so I can trust everyone. I let people in from a, 'Let's hang out place'. There is letting in and then there is letting in."
