Prashanth begins Andhadhun Tamil remake shooting

Prashanth, who is fondly called Top Star by his fans, had begun shooting for his upcoming film Andhagan. The film is the official Tamil remake of Andhadhun starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu in the lead roles. On March 10, the Tamil remake went on floors with a customary pooja which was attended by the cast and crew. However, there seems to be a huge change in terms of the crew. The makers had initially announced that filmmaker JJ Fredrick, who made his debut with Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal, has been roped in to direct the film. However, he has opted out of the film.

JJ Fredrick issued a statement and wrote, "Dear All, This is to inform you all that, I’m not directing the film #Andhagan & Goodluck to the Team. Thank you all for the support and love & Will keep you posted about my next project very soon :) (sic)." Prashanth's father and producer Thiagarajan will now take over the film as the filmmaker. He had earlier directed films such as Aanazhagan, Shock, Ponnar Shankar and Mambattiyan.
