Prithviraj Sukumaran made his directorial debut with Mohanlal-Lucifer, which ended up as a blockbuster hit. He then followed it with a sweet film-like, Bro Daddy, once again with Mohanlal. Now, the director has joined hands with KGF producers, Hombale Films, for a new film titled Tyson. The film has a story written by Murali Gopy and will go on floors in early 2023. Tyson will release in theatres in 2024. Soon, the cast and crew will be announced in the coming months.
Speaking to the Times of India, Prithviraj said, "Tyson is a subject that Murali Gopy and I discussed while making Lucifer. After that, we got busy with planning Lucifer 2, but then the pandemic struck and the plans were delayed. I got busy with other projects, but I had Tyson at the back of my mind. In fact, I thought I’d produce the film and act in it while getting someone else to direct it. It is a subject that is very dear to me and I am happy that I have joined hands with the best. It is tough to classify Murali's films in a single genre, but I would call them an action-packed socio-thriller.
