As per reports, star Keerthy Suresh, famous in Tamil and Telugu cinema, has opted out of her Bollywood debut film titled Maidaan. Keerthy, who was due to play the leading lady opposite Ajay Devgn in Maidaan has called off her role. With Maidaan off the list, the star may or may not make her Hindi film debut in 2020.
According to sources, Keerthy Suresh and producer Boney Kapoor mutually decided to keep Keerthy out of the film as she was ‘too young’ to play the character. The 27-year-old Keerthy was going to play the role of the wife of former football coach and manager of the Indian national team Syed Abdul Rahim. Syed trained the Indian team that reached the semi-finals of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. Priyamani is now the new star to play the same role in Maidaan.
On the professional front, Keerthy will see with Mohanlal in Priyadarshan’s Malayalam epic historical drama Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Set in the 16th century, the film made on a budget of ₹100 crores.
