The state of Assam faces yet another calamity. This is the fourth time that the state has battled the floods this year. Actor-singer couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have made donations in order to help out. Both of them took to their social media to write a note about the floods and how Assam needs our help, support, and attention. The power couple has donated to two flood relief organizations - Action Aid and Rapid Response. They've both urged their fans to do the same.

Priyanka is the brand ambassador of Assam. The actress has featured in several initiatives to support and promote tourism in the state. She has now come forward to help out in times of need.

“While we are all still dealing with the effects of the global pandemic, the Indian state of Assam has been grappling with another major crisis. It has been devastated by floods triggered by heavy monsoon showers affecting the lives of millions. The impact to life and land/property is unimaginable. The rapidly rising water level has also flooded the Kaziranga National Park, one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world,” Priyanka tweeted. “They need our attention and support. I’m sharing details of a few credible organizations that are doing some good work on the ground in Assam, and Nick and I have made a donation to each. Let us support them so they can continue to help those in need. #Assamfloods #PrayForAssam #AssamNeedsHelp @PRIYANKACHOPRA,” she added. Nick Jonas too shared the message on his social media.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have previously donated to coronavirus relief funds to lend a helping hand. They also donated to pledge their support to the Black Lives Matter movement.
