Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan pay tribute to frontline workers in the fight against Coronavirus at 'The One World.'

Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan pay tribute to frontline workers in the fight against Coronavirus at 'The One World.'

On Saturday WHO hosted The One World event that starred stars from across the globe. The event aimed at raising awareness and encouraging people to donate to various Coronavirus relief funds. Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert hosted the show that included celebrities like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Elton John. The event also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra who represented India at the global stage.

 
Each of the stars joined in the event through a live-streaming network. In his segment, Shah Rukh Khan paid tribute to frontline workers in the fight against Coronavirus. He also spoke about the struggles faced by the people of India amid this pandemic. King Khan concluded his speech by saying, "Stay strong, I love you." Later Priyanka Chopra also spoke about the difficulties faced by the underprivileged. She said, "I have witnessed first hand overcrowded and unlivable conditions in refugee camps." Priyanka is also a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador and encouraged people to provide relief for better sanitation and healthcare for those in refugee camps.
 
Popstar and singer Lady Gaga performed a few of her songs on the stream. She added saying,"I'm so grateful for the healthcare workers, the medical workers, all the grocery store workers and delivery people, the postal workers, all the other nonprofits that are working so hard. This is really a true love letter to all of you all over the world and I hope a reminder of the kindness that's occurring right now."
 
The event also included stars and celebrities like Beyonce, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, David Beckham, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Luis Fonsi and Jennifer Hudson.
