International star Priyanka Chopra
recently finished shooting for The White Tiger, directed by Ramin Bahrani. The film is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga's bestselling novel of the same name. Chopra will be starring alongside versatile actor Rajkummar Rao and debutante Adarsh Gourav. It's a Netflix production.
To commemorate the end of shooting, Chopra posted a heartfelt message on Instagram: "Happy tired... But so excited to have wrapped up #thewhitetiger. It was such a pleasure to work with the best in the business in every department. The most hardworking crew.. and such a delightful cast. Thank you for all your brilliance. I can't wait to see the finished product and share it with the world..."
She then went on to thank her co-actors Rajkummar Rao
and Adarsh Gourav, the director Ramin Bahrani, the producer Mukul Deora, and finally Netflix.
The White Tiger is the story of Balram Halwai, a poor man who climbs the social ladder over the years, in dark and surprising ways. The novel was critically acclaimed and won the Man Booker Prize in 2008. We look forward to hearing and seeing more about the film in the coming days!
