The Tulu Actor Pruthvi Ambaar shot to fame with his Kannada debut Dia. The success of the film has opened up new avenues for him. He was recently in the news for his two new scriptwriting projects. He has yet again signed on to work on another project.
Pruthvi Ambaar has signed on to appear in a film titled For Regn. The film is being produced by N Naveen Rao under the banner of Nischal Films. It will be directed by Naveen Dwarakanath. The film will be a comic family drama.
Actor Tabla Nani will also appear in the film. The director is still in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast. The film shooting was to begin in May, however, it has been delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Director Naveen has previously worked on a number of documentaries and children’s films like Harivina Haadi and Yellow Board. Naveen is a classic example of an IT professional turned artist. “I am planning to consume all my leave and take breaks between my regular work and focus on making this film,” says the director. Regn will be his first feature film. Vivek S K will be the film’s cinematographer and Harish R the music composer.
In the meantime, Ambar is working on two scripts – one in Kannada and one in Tulu. The Kannada script revolves around a young fisherman; it is going to be a romantic thriller. Ambar owes his success to the Tulu Film Industry, however, he believes it’s time to focus on his Sandalwood career.
