Puneeth Rajkumar's Yuvarathnaa goes to OTT in just 8 days

Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar and Sayyeshaa's Yuvarathnaa released in theatres last week. In a surprising turn of events, the film will now stream on Amazon Prime Video in just eight days after its theatrical release. Just a day after Yuvarathnaa's theatrical release, theatres in Karnataka were asked to operate with 50 per cent occupancy. Puneeth Rajkumar and producer Vijay Kiragandur met Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and requested him to relax the Covid-19 guidelines. The guidelines were relaxed for a few days and have now gone back to a 50 % occupancy rate.

Producer Vijay, in a statement, wrote, "Delighted to inform you all that Hombale Films is all set to launch Yuvarathnaa on Amazon Prime Video. Given the present pandemic situation, this decision has been taken keeping in mind larger reach of the good content to more audience, especially families and elderly. The movie will continue to be screened in theatres. We seek cooperation from all fans, the film fraternity and all our well-wishers. I thank all the viewers for the great response to Yuvarathnaa and Amazon Prime Video for facilitating the movie to reach more viewers. Happy watching and feel the power of Yuvarathnaa."
