Purab Kohli and his family recover from Covid-19

Actor Purab Kohli on Tuesday revealed that he and his family contracted the novel coronavirus and are now on the road to recovery. Purab, who currently lives in London with his wife Lucy Payton and children - Inaya (4) and Osian (1), took to Instagram to share a health update. In a lengthy post, the 'Rock On! 2' star confirmed that his daughter contracted mild COVID-19 first, which was a cough and cold for two days. Then, it was his wife to get infected and faced chest congestion due to the 'cough symptom'.

Kohli was the third to get a 'horrid, solid cold for one day' which vanished, and then an irritating cough set in for three days. His son got it the last with a 104 degree Celsius fever for three nights, a runny nose and slight cough, while the other three had only mild 100-101 degrees Celsius temperature and fatigue. "Osian's fever disappeared only on his fifth day," he wrote in his post.

The 41-year-old actor mentioned that their general practitioner, on a phone call, said that they have contracted coronavirus. He said that it is just like regular flu, but with a 'stronger cough and a feeling of breathlessness'. "Apparently everyone in London is getting it and it is rampant here, and a few people we know have gotten it too," he added. He shared the post to create awareness and hoped to help reduce the panic a little to know someone who has had it and is fine.

Last week on Wednesday, the Kohli family came out of the self-imposed quarantine, and are not contagious any longer.
