The original role of Vijay Sethupathi in Lokesh Kanagaraj's final film, "Vikram," starring Kamal Haasan, was offered to Raghava Lawrence. Due to other obligations, the actor chose not to participate in the movie and missed out on becoming a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe. However, Raghava Lawrence now has the opportunity to participate in Lokesh Kanagaraj's movie. According to rumors, he will play the antagonist in Lokesh Kanagaraj's "Kaithi 2."
Suriya will make an extended cameo appearance in the action film "Kaithi 2," which has his brother Karthi in the lead role and reprise his well-known role as Rolex. In prior interviews, Karthi and Lokesh Kanagaraj stated that "Kaithi 2" will pick up when the filmmaker completes "Thalapathy 67" with Vijay. Thus, production on "Kaithi 2" will begin by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024, and the movie may see a 2024 theatrical release.
