Popular hospital chain in Hyderabad, Sunshine Hospitals, has introduced the new technology of Orthobotics for joint replacement surgeries. The knee replacement and the hip surgeries have become more common these days and many people are adopting these operations, to overcome their joint pains.
Sunshine Orthobotics is the centre where these surgeries get done with the help of a robot called 'Orthobot.' It is a fourth-generation Mako Robot from the company Stryker. It can take the accuracy rate of joint replacements from 95% to 100%.
Appreciating the introduction of this technology, tech-savvy filmmaker SS Rajamouli tweeted, "Very happy about the launch of Sunshine Robotic Assisted Joint Replacement Centre in Hyderabad today. I wish Dr Gurava Reddy @drgurava and his entire team of @SunshineHospthe very best in their endeavours."
