Rajinikanth doesn’t want to clash with Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu films for Sankranthi
With two biggies Sarileru Neekevaru starring Mahesh Babu and Ala Vaikuntapuramlo starring Allu Arjun are gearing up for a grand release, Superstar Rajinikanth wants to step back from Sankranthi race at the box-office in the Telugu states.
After the debacle of Kabali, the market of Superstar Rajinikanth started declining slowly among the Telugu states. Barring 2.0, films like Kaala and Petta failed to get big openings at the box office. Now, Rajini is coming up with his new film Darbar which is gearing up for the Pongal release.
Already, we have Sarileru Neekevvaru
starring Mahesh Babu
and Ala Vaikuntapuramlo
starring Allu Arjun
decided to arrive on the 12th of January. Rajini is planning to avoid clashing with these biggies. Thus, Darbar will now arrive on the 9th of January. This gives a three-day window for the film to collect big at the box office.
If the trailer and audio can create a buzz, it might get good openings too. Dil Raju, UV Creations and NV Prasad are distributing Darbar in Telugu. They are planning to release it on a huge scale. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this film features Nayanthara
as the lead actress.
