Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe movie shooting to resume in April?

Back in December, Sun Pictures, the production house, announced that the shooting of Annaatthe movie will resume on December 14 after a break of about 10 months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, and several other actors shot for a couple of days in Hyderabad until four members of the film crew tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Following that, Rajinikanth was hospitalized due to fluctuations in blood pressure. After receiving treatment, Rajinikanth reached Chennai and has been advised complete rest. Now, the latest update is that the shooting of Annaatthe might resume in April, after the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

Due to the health scare, Rajinikanth announced that he will not enter politics as he wouldn’t be able to put in his full effort. Rajinikanth’s decision on politics was a huge disappointment for his fans as they were eagerly waiting for him to rock Tamil Nadu politics. Many fans are protesting at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai demanding him to take the plunge soon. Directed by Siruthai Siva, Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe also stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Meena, Khushbu, and Soori in important roles.
