Superstar Rajinikanth is in top form for the last couple of years with his films doing exceptionally well at the box office. He was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta which brought out the quintessential Rajinikanth back on screen and it was a treat to all Rajinikanth’s fans.
Now, the actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is all set to hit the theatres on January 9 ahead of Pongal so that it can enjoy a long theatrical run along with festival turnout.
Earlier, it was reported that Rajinikanth’s 168th film is directed by Siruthai Siva. The untitled film was initially slated to release for Diwali 2020. The latest reports suggest that the film will release in October 2020, specifically for Ayudha Pooja. However, official confirmation will be out soon.
Tentatively titled Thalaivar 168, the film features a star-studded cast including Rajinikanth, Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film’s technical crew includes composer D Imman who will score the music for the film.
