Rakshasudu fetches a whopping price for dubbing and satellite rights
Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is yet to establish as a bankable hero in Tollywood is struggling with his poor form. He is currently working with Anupama Parameswaran for an upcoming movie Rakshasudu, the remake of Super Hit Tamil movie ‘Raatsasan’. Rakshasudu is being directed by Ramesh Varma Penmetsa who has previously directed ‘Ride’, ‘Veera’ and ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’ and is produced by Satyanarayana Koneru. A few days ago the makers released the teaser of Rakshasudu which received a good response. After debacle performance of Sita at the box-office, Bellamkonda is pinning a lot of hopes on this film. The pre-release business of Rakshasudu has been already started. The producers of the film Rakshasudu have sold out the Hindi dubbing and Telugu satellite rights for a whopping price.
The Hindi dubbing rights of Rakshasudu were sold for Rs 12.5 crore while leading entertainment channel, Gemini TV has acquired the satellite rights for Rs 6 Cr. The total is Rs 18.5 crore which is a huge amount for a movie of Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.
Konery Satyanarayana is bankrolling this movie Rakshasudu under A Studios banner while Abhishek Pictures banner is releasing it worldwide. The movie has the music by Ghibran while Venkat C Dileep is handling the cinematography. Raatsasan starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul was a low budget movie, but the movie was commercially hit at the box office.
