Rana Daggubati took a brief break from films as he went to the US for surgery. He is now back in town and is quickly finishing the pending projects and also is focusing on his upcoming films. The first major release for Rana in 2020 will be Haathi Mere Saathi, which is being directed by Prabhu Solomon.
The film was in the making for more than two years and recently, Rana wrapped up the shoot of it. Speaking of the film, Rana said that it is a film which is quite relevant to the current society. The film features Rana as the forest savior who fights against the corporate world, who plans for the deforestation. He said that Haathi Mere Saathi will be a modern tribute to Rajesh Khanna's classic of the same name.
Rana claims that the stories which he wants to tell are very specific. He doesn't mind taking the time to come up with such stories. Be it a Baahubali or a Ghazi or a Haathi Mere Saathi, Rana tries to come up with a content-oriented film. The actor also opined that the entertainment industry has become so big with the advent of OTT platforms and the bigger task now is to find new stories to tell.
