Actress Rashmika Mandanna has addressed rumors over a third reunion with Vijay Deverakonda following the films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. She stated in an interview that she aspires to collaborate with Vijay again. She said she wishes so because their supporters and admirers have been requesting it.
Rashmika addressed rumors that she might work on another film with Vijay Deverakonda in an interview. He intended to collaborate with Vijay "this year or next," she stated. In Dear Comrade, Rashmika and Vijay were last seen working together. She portrayed a cricket player who experiences harassment in the movie. Fans are convinced that Vijay and Rashmika are dating after spotting "identical" recent holiday images of the two. Neither has officially confirmed or denied their connection.
Speaking about her working with Vijay again, Rashmika said, “As of now, no. But I hope it happens this year or next. I feel I’ve gotten a lot of messages from our well-wishers who feel it’s been a while since we came together on screen. We want to do justice to that and wait for a script that justifies both of our personalities.” Rashmika also added that she ‘absolutely loved working with him’. “I feel I’ve improved so much from Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, I really want to see how much better I can be. I want him to see me perform and I’m waiting for his reaction. I hope it happens next year or so,” she said.
Rashmika has recently been under fire for not having watched the Kannada movie Kantara in a while. Even though she is a Kannadiga, she responded to those who attacked her for not seeing the movie. She claimed that she would not be able to watch the movie as soon as it hit the screens due to job responsibilities. She had claimed that she had eventually seen the movie and had even informed the team of her intentions.
On the professional front, she will shortly start working on the Pushpa franchise's second installment. She will reconnect with Allu Arjun in the movie. The movie will premiere the next year. Pushpa: The Rule was formally introduced in August of last year with a pooja ritual. Sukumar will also direct the sequel. Later this month, Rashmika will join the sets.
