If we note down the ten best films of Ravi Teja, Kick will definitely find a place on that list. It is often considered as one of the best comedy films of Telugu cinema. Directed by Surender Reddy, this film featured Ileana as the female lead. This iconic film celebrates 11 years of its release today. On this occasion, here is look back into it.
 
Kick marked the first time collaboration between Ravi Teja and Surender Reddy. After this film, they teamed up again for the 2015 movie Kick 2. The main assets of Kick are Ravi Teja's impeccable comedy timing, his chemistry with Ileana, and the funny episodes featuring Ali and Brahmanandam. Even the songs composed by SS Thaman were chartbusters in those times. There is also an important underlying message in the film, which created more impact on the viewers. Right from scene one to the last scene, the film manages to maintain a great momentum of comic pace. It also introduced Tamil actor Shaam to the Telugu film industry. Kick was a major hit at the box office and remained as the third highest grosser in Tollywood in 2009.
 
The music of this film was also a big hit. Songs like Dhim Tana, Gore Gore, and I don't want love to rule the charts for an entire year. Kick was also remade into many other languages. Salam Khan remade it with the same title and released it in 2014. Jayam Ravi remade it in Tamil with the title Thillalangadi. Kannada star Upendra remade it in Kannada as Super Ranga.
