Due to the coronavirus pandemic, quite a few released films got affected. One of the films which got affected by the shut down of the theatres is Madha. This independent film got released on the 13th of March. From 14th, the theatres got shut down all across the Telugu states. Thus, despite its promising content, Madha failed to get successful at the box office. Now, it is streaming on the Amazon Prime Video. People who missed watching the film can now catch it on Prime Video.
Madha got directed by female filmmaker Siri Vidya Basawa. This is her maiden directorial film. She made the film with her own money. She didn't get any help from the industry bigwigs. That didn't stop Sri Vidya from pursuing her dream. With the help of her mother and a few other friends, she has successfully made this film. The film featured Trisha Mukherjee, Venkat Rahul and Anish Kuruvilla in the main lead roles.
Madha follows the story of Nisha, who works as a proofreader in an advertising agency. She is an orphan and gets raised as an independent individual. She then gets targeted by Arjun who pretends to be in love with her. What happens between them forms the main crux of the story. Madha is a psychological thriller which got made with brilliant technical values. Sri Vidya should get commended for bringing out such quality product in a limited budget.
