Young Tamil director Karthik Naren made an impressive debut into films with a highly engaging thriller, Dhruvangal Pathinaru (16 in Telugu). After that, director Gautham Menon came forward to produce Karthik's second film, Naragasooran. But this film faced troubles right from the beginning due to the differences between the director and the producer.
Thus, in its last stages of the shoot, the works were halted. For the last one year, the film remained in the cans. Director Karthik Naren lashed out on Gautham Menon on multiple occasions for not helping him to release the film. In the meantime, he also wrapped up the shoot of his third venture, Mafia, which is now gearing up for release.
According to the latest reports from Kollywood, Shraddha Entertainments took over the rights of Naragasooran from Gautham Menon. Now, Karthik is prepping to shoot the rest of the film. The makers are planning to release it in March 2020. It will also have a Telugu release with the title Narakasurudu. Sundeep Kishan, Aravind Swamy, Shriya Saran, and Aathmika played the lead roles in Naragasooran.
