Director Subhash Kapoor is quite prominent in the Bollywood circuit for his films like Jolly LLB and Jolly LLB 2. After that, Subhash got roped into direct the biopic of T-Series founder, Gulshan Kumar. Gulshan's son Bhushan Kumar planned to produce this film called Mogul, with Aamir Khan playing the lead role. But soon, Aamir signed Laal Singh Chadha and got busy in those works.
As soon as he realized that Aamir will not be available for a few months, Subhash decided to work on another script. Thus, he made his upcoming film, Madam Chief Minister. Subhash discussed this idea with Bhushan during the works of Mogul and the latter has immediately agreed to produce it.
Madam Chief Minister went on floors last year and Subhash has wrapped it up in 40 days straight schedule. The whole filming took place in the city of Lucknow. Subhash's last film Jolly LLB 2 was also shot in the same city.
Talented actress Richa Chadha played the lead role in this political drama. This is Richa's first political film and it seems that she has done complete justice to the role. Madam Chief Minister will hit the screens worldwide on July 17th this year.
