Richa Chadha made her niche in Bollywood by working in strong critically acclaimed films. With the International day for women right around the corner, Richa talks about how she wants to bring more women in the Bollywood workforce. "Everyone in my extended family was apprehensive when I joined the film industry. But 10 years on, I have worked on some path-breaking projects, with talented artists, and I am proud of my filmography and struggle. Now, movie sets are filled with women. It's important to create this gender-neutral environment if we want to tell balanced stories and even progress as a society,” she said to HT.
Richa is one of the few women of Bollywood who entered the OTT platform and made a big name over there as well. "I am someone who has come to this industry without a godfather and it hasn’t been easy. The industry is now a more organized workspace and is much safer to work in than before, but there’s a lot to do,” she added.
Talking about her personal life, there are rumors making rounds on the internet that Richa and her long time boyfriend Ali Fazal will tie the knot soon. She and Ali are to exchange vows in the capital and then, later on, throw reception parties in Mumbai. Even though they did not confirm the news, a source close to the couple announced it.
