The much-anticipated information regarding "Kantara 2" has been confirmed, and production of the sequel is about to begin. The story of "Kantara 2," which Rishab Shetty is now penning, is a precursor rather than a sequel.
The plot of the prequel has not yet been revealed. It is assumed that Rishab Shetty will be examining the bond between the peasants, the divinity, and the tormented monarch. In an agreement with the god, the king promised to safeguard the locals and the area surrounding him, but events turned out differently. The main conflict in the movie is between man and nature.
The picture will be released next summer sometime around April or May 2024. Thus the June start of production is ideal because the plot calls for a rainy season. Rishab Shetty and his team have traveled to Karnataka's coastal districts to hunt for filming locations. The team made the journey to better understand the local folklore that was portrayed in "Kantara.' They will be there for more than two months.
Following the enormous success of "Kantara," Rishab Shetty stated his taste regarding films. He stated in numerous interviews that he would never accept offers to make movies for enormous sums of money. He said he instead preferred that the storyline determine the budget. When it comes to the casting we'll have to wait and watch if any well-known actors are added for the pan-Indian release. The film will also release in other languages.
