Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh, son of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, was both emotional and ecstatic after the Maharashtra election results came out. Riteish's both brothers Amit Deshmukh and Dhiraj Deshmukh got elected to the state assembly from the Latur (city) and Latur (rural) seats, respectively. The Deshmukh brothers contesting on Congress tickets recorded impressive wins with Amit, now a three-time MLA, surpassing BJP'S Shailesh Lahoti by 38,217 votes and Dhiraj bagging 1.3 Lakh votes in his emphatic win.

 
The actor shared the pictures of the celebratory rally on his social media accounts. The actor also tweeted "we did it papa" with a picture of his father Vilasrao Deshmukh in the backdrop. In the other pictures he says thanks to the people in Latur for their support and trust along with wife Genelia D'Souza and family.
 
 
Riteish Deshmukh is currently promoting his upcoming film Housefull 4 along with the cast of the film which includes Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol. The actor is not in politics himself but supports his brother and campaigns for them during elections.
